Login at Murdoch

The most commonly used login at Murdoch University is the combination of Murdoch Username and Murdoch Password.

This is used for:-

  • Login to computing and network facilities such as computer workstations in computing laboratories
  • Access to application systems (eg. MyHR and My Library) and services (eg. MyMurdoch and Webmail), where access restriction has been applied
  • Access to information resources, including Web pages and files in PDF format, where access restriction has been applied

NOTE: There are some systems and services that use a login combination other than a Murdoch Username and Murdoch Password.

Whilst accessing certain systems and services, it may not be necessary to login again. This feature is called login persistence, or single sign-on. However, login persistence is not available across all systems and services.

Login synchronisation refers to the automatic reticulation of the Murdoch Password from the MAIS database to other authentication systems and selected services, enabling login to application systems and services to use the combination of Murdoch Username and Murdoch Password.
