I'm a staff member, how do I change my Murdoch Password?

To change your password in the MAIS database, select this link to login to the Murdoch Password Murdoch Password Change system.

If you are unsure what to do, follow these steps:

  1. At the MAIS Login screen enter your Murdoch Username and Murdoch Password
  2. Select the [ Enter ] button
  3. If your current Murdoch Password is validated, your browser will display the Murdoch Password Change form
  4. The form will display your name and prompt you to enter your current Murdoch Password again
  5. At the prompts, enter your new Murdoch Password in each of the two boxes
  6. Select the [ Update ] button to update your Murdoch Password
  7. If your new Murdoch Password is accepted, the message "Record successfully updated" will display
If your new Murdoch Password is not accepted, an error message will display and you will need to to formulate an alternative that complies with the requirements for a Murdoch Password and then enter the new details again.
  8. When the update procedure is completed, select the [ Exit ] button

Be aware that when you change your Murdoch Password, the changed password is reticulated for use with authentication systems. There may be a delay in synchronisation. Allow 20 minutes from the time you change your password before using the new password for login to other systems and services.

If you are unsure of how to formulate a new password, refer to 'How do I select a new Murdoch Password?'.
