I'm a MAIS Other, I've forgotten my Murdoch Password, what do I do?

MAIS

You will need to attend in person the IT Service Desk counter (Level 2, North Wing, Library, Murdoch Campus), and request a new Murdoch Password.

Requesting a new Murdoch Password cannot be done by email, nor over the phone.

Note: If you are unable to attend the IT Service Desk counter (Level 2, North Wing, Library, Murdoch Campus), (eg. you are overseas), refer to the article for MAIS Others Off-Campus (see link below).

Staff at the IT Service Desk will:
  1. Ask you to provide a Murdoch Password Request Form
  2. Ask you to display your University Identification Card (with an identifiable photograph) if you have one, or alternatively, your Driver's License or Passport with an identifiable photograph
  3. Access the Murdoch Password Change (Others) system
  4. Generate and print on secure stationery a new Murdoch Password
  5. Hand you an envelope with your your name on the outside and your new Murdoch Password printed inside
  6. Sign the Murdoch Password Request Form acknowledging that they have sighted the appropriate proof of identity, with an identifiable photograph, for the applicant, and provided you with a Murdoch Password
  7. Retain the Murdoch Password Request Form as a record that you have received your new Murdoch Password

You can use the Murdoch Password printed on the secure stationery, or if you prefer, access the Murdoch Password Change (others) system and change the password to one that they find easier to remember.
