Peel Community Foundation Scholarship

Support young people of the Peel region to reduce the financial pressure in associated living and study costs whilst attending university.


Two scholarships are available




Open: Monday 30 September, 2019

Closes: Sunday 01 March, 2020


Instalments of  $1,500 per semester paid in Week 7 or 8 of each semester for a period of 3 years


To apply for this scholarship you must be:

  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident;
  • A resident of the Peel region (that is you reside in areas with the postcode of either 6121; 6122; 6123; 6124; 6125; 6126; 6180; 6181; 6207; 6208; 6209; 6210; 6211; 6213; 6214; 6390)
  • Be enrolled full-time in your first year of any Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Nursing (BNurs) degree.
  • under 21 yrs of age.

Students facing financial and/or personal hardship are encouraged to apply.

How to apply

1 Download and complete the application form.
2 Email the following documents to
  • Completed application form;
  • A personal statement of no more than 300 words, outlining your exceptional personal circumstances, any barriers in relation to your study and their impact.
  •  One written reference by a person (not related to you) from your local community able to comment on your character and commitment to community.

What happens next?

All applications are ranked against each other in a careful assessment of the combination of each of these criteria:

• Eligibility;
• Personal Statement;
• Satisfactory references from persons suitable to comment; and in some cases
• Special consideration will be made for students experiencing financial hardship.
