Vet Alumni 4th Year Scholarship

The fourth year of the Veterinary program marks the transition to clinical science and comes with significant additional hard work and expenses. The Vet Alumni 4th Year Scholarship was established through donations from the Veterinary Alumni to provide support for a student entering their fourth year who is facing demonstrable economic hardship.


One scholarship is available




Closes: Monday 5th August 2019, (4.00pm) Australian WST


One instalment in Week 7 or 8 of Semester 2.


To apply for this scholarship in 2019 you must:

  • Be enrolled in your 4th year in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program

How to apply

1 Download and save the application form.
2 Complete the form and save it under your name.
3 Email the following documents to
  • Completed application form
  • A personal statement of no more than 300 words
  • Evidence of financial hardship (e.g. Payslips, Tax Notice of Assessment or Centrelink Income Statement)
  • Evidence of personal hardship

What happens next?

All applications are ranked against each other in a careful assessment of the combination of each of these criteria:

  • Your overall eligibility.
  • Your personal statement that describes your educational and career goals, and how this scholarship will help you to achieve these goals.
  • Your personal statement that describes any circumstances of financial and/or personal hardship.
  • Your demonstrated level of financial hardship.

Applications are shortlisted by the Scholarships Office with the final decision resting with the Vet Trust Selection Committee.
